LAS VEGAS CENSUS PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM AND RETURN BY MAIL. ZELDA KAISER BASIC INFORMATION
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION HAIR COLOR AND STYLE: Ever since she was a child Zelda has had bright blonde hair. She takes great joy from making sure she always looks her best and often curls her hair with rollers. Should she need to dress up for a special event, she often does a glamorous updo. EYE COLOR: A bright blue. BODY BUILD: Zelda is a small little thing standing at 5"1ft. She's slim and light and keeps an eye on her figure just as all her friends do. GET UP: Mrs Kaiser tries her best to keep up with the fashion but she often finds herself falling for the same sorts of things. She has a weakness for cute dresses and tends to wear day dresses of all colours and prints. She likes red lipstick and earrings and cares a lot about her appearance. PERSONALITY DISPOSITION: Social Butterfly. Outgoing. Friendly. Whether she’s at a party or at the grocery store, Zelda is always eager to strike up conversation with just about anyone- she isn’t judgmental at all! She’s an extrovert and finds it easy to make friends. Always eager to please and yearning for acceptance, however, she knows when to back off. She isn’t over-bearing and irritable. She’s just friendly. Intelligent. Grounded. Observant. Some people are quick to assume that Zelda is the stereotypical ‘dumb-blonde’ she seems to be. With her ditsy personality and clumsiness, it’s easy to tie it all together. However, Zelda is quite book-smart and has a lot of common sense. Things don’t go unnoticed by her. Even if it’s something small like the way you looked at someone or the way you said something. However, she doesn’t jump to conclusions. She knows to properly investigate before jumping to any conclusions. Loving. Selfless. Kind. Affectionate. Zelda’s kindness stretches further than the stars. Even those that aren’t extremely close to her feel the warmth of her heart. She’s constantly trying to help people, better herself and make others happy. As a result she often helps with charity and when she isn’t doing that she’s showering her friends and family with affection. She’s often loud about her emotions and feelings for people. Tolerant. Patient. Passive. It takes her a long time to get frustrated with people and she’ll often dismiss peoples’ bad behavior. However, she does reach her limit eventually and she has a biting anger when she does. She’s honest but she’s not ruthless. She’ll call you out for being rubbish but she won’t drag up all the other times you’ve wronged her. Although she can have these outbursts of anger when she’s reached her limit, she doesn’t hold grudges. She prefers to just apologise and move on. Forgive and forget. Zelda is largely submissive but she has her limit. She has her principles and she will stand by them, even if it means going against someone important. Full of life. Excitable. Optimistic. Emotional. One thing many people notice about Zelda is her optimism. Her love for life and expression of it follows her around everywhere she goes. She tries her best to drop a little bit of sunshine into everyone’s lives. Being so happy and smiley all the time can take its toll and sometimes she ends up in a little pit of worry. She can be over-emotional; crying with laughter, sadness or happiness- she cannot bottle up her feelings at all. In addition to this, she is also absolutely rubbish at keeping secrets. If there’s a surprise party, she ends up getting too excited to keep quiet about it and if there’s a big, dark, important secret she worries about it too much to keep it. The only persons’ secrets she has ever managed to keep are her husbands’. Fickle. Clumsy. Forgetful. She often quickly switches from one idea to the next and finds it hard to finally decide on some things. Zelda is always falling over and breaking things out of pure clumsiness. Mainly because she’s day dreaming about something or other. On top of that she can be dreadfully forgetful- especially when it comes to names and numbers. HISTORY HOMETOWN: Lynnville, Tennessee FAMILY: Rhett Embry - Father Bonnie Embry - Mother Elijah Embry - Big Brother Madison Embry - Little Sister Ava Embry - Littler Sister All the Embrys are living on the family farm in Tennessee. Adam Kaiser - Husband Zelda lives with her husband, the chief of police, in Las Vegas, Nevada. FRIENDS: Zelda finds making friends very easy and she has many all over the city. She doesn't judge people and likes to mix with a range of different people from different backgrounds. RECORD: The Embrys have owned a farm in South Tennessee for generations and by growing corn in the fields, peaches in the orchards and rearing chickens, they pretty much survive off it. This is the farm that Zelda grew up on- the farm her father, Rhett, inherited from his own father. Zelda Renee was second born of four children: Elijah, Zelda, Madison, and Ava. Although they didn’t have everything, they had a happy upbringing. They grew up surrounded by family- their grandparents lived at the farm with them and aunts and uncles were always staying to help. They were a close-knit family built on tradition with catholic values. All four Embry children were homeschooled, their doting mother reluctant to let them fly the nest, scared that they will ‘grow up too fast’ or learn things that would spoil their innocence. Of course, the time had to come eventually. This somewhat sheltered beginning, however, didn’t much affect Zelda’s spirit. Her intellect thrived with her love for books, she’d read anything she could get her hands on. Interacting with people from all different backgrounds came naturally to her. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. At church, at the store, at the park, a funeral, on a bus- anywhere! She was born a social butterfly and as she grew, she became more and more outgoing. She was never judgmental or cruel to those different to her and was always so very embarrassed when her father would go on aggressive racist rants with his friends. As she grew, her path in life was never really known to her. She didn’t crave fame or riches. She just wanted to live a happy life. The only thing she knew she wanted was to move from her family’s farm. There was nothing wrong with it and she adored her family. She wanted to learn more about the world and what it had to offer. She just craved something new. Her ‘something new’ came in the form of Tony Calo. She was 23 at the time, waiting tables in a café when they met. He was visiting from Las Vegas for a month or two. Although he was quite a bit older than her, at 33 years old, he was unlike anyone she had ever met before. Perhaps she was just naïve or blinded by his charm and good looks. Whatever the reason, he asked her out and she agreed. Before she knew it, they were in a relationship. The news didn’t much impress her parents but they weren’t unreasonable. They knew their daughter was smart and grounded. They trusted her judgment. Tony and Zelda were hopelessly lost in each other. Calo had fallen for her Southern Belle charm and Zelda was fascinated by his stories of the city. He owned a casino in Las Vegas and Zelda couldn’t hear enough about it. Tony’s trip in Tennessee came to a close faster than they liked and he had to return to Nevada. Zelda was heartbroken. He offered to take Zelda back with him and she could have a job in his casino. Overwhelmed, excited and eager to get a taste of the city, she agreed. Her family was upset at first, sad that she wasn’t going to settle in the country with a nice farm owner but they knew how much this meant to her and they wouldn’t stop her. The city was even more amazing than she had ever imagined. It was thriving and busy, it didn’t sleep and it was as full of life as she was. Being a showgirl in the casino was harder than she thought it was going to be but she was eager to please her boyfriend. She’d practice the dances in her living room every evening, determined to hide any of her clumsiness. And with the practice, she improved. Things took a turn, however, when she discovered Tony had been keeping secrets from her. It didn’t take her long to uncover the truth, being the observant woman she is. Tony Calo was the leader of a mob. The discovery made her feel betrayed and unsafe. Zelda didn’t envision a gangster to be like him at all! After many arguments, tears and begging from Tony’s part, she forgave him. He convinced her that she wasn’t unsafe at all. If anything, she was very safe. No one would mess with the gangster’s girlfriend. Her heart couldn’t bear to lose him so she agreed to stay with him, on the condition that he didn’t involve her in any of his mob dealings. Infact, he wasn’t even to talk to her about it. He agreed. Two years passed and in 1949 life was still being kind to Zelda. She was still a showgirl in the casino and she was happy. She’d write to her family every couple of weeks. Of course, life wasn’t perfect. Tony and her would have their arguments- some which would end with Zelda going to stay at a friend’s house and not going back to him for a good week or so. One night when she was dancing, another man stepped into her life. Little did she know at that moment how big a part he would play in her life. His name was Adam Kaiser and they hit it off right away. He was charming, witty, handsome, and intelligent. He had an air about him that made her curious and excited. Zelda felt so lucky to have him as a friend. Things were still going well with Tony. Zelda was completely devoted to him, but their arguments weren’t settling. One night after a particularly heated argument because he wasn’t going to be home until late (AGAIN!), Zelda stormed out of the casino leaving him to go for a meeting or something. After going to sleep with a bad taste in her mouth, Zelda awoke to a policeman at her door telling her the awful news. Her darling Tony Calo had been caught in a fire in the casino. Her heart shattered and she couldn’t help but feel part to blame. Had they not argued would things be the same? Tony had been her first boyfriend and he was the only person she had in all of Las Vegas apart from a few friends here and there. Feeling lost, lonely and heartbroken, she found solace in Adam Kaiser’s company. He was her shoulder to cry on. With an aching heart, she fell quickly for Adam, his support was all she needed at that time. She felt guilty moving on so quickly but she knew that Tony would want her to keep on living. Before she knew it, she was walking down the aisle- a big dream of hers which Tony never would have given her. He didn’t believe in marriage. Zelda has spent the last 8 years as a housewife, doting on her husband and the house they live in. Although this new chapter in her life was sweet at first it has slowly grown tiresome for Zelda. She’s constantly growing bored of her life, growing bored of the city and lately, growing worried and suspicious about her husband and his behaviour (not that she admits this to him, of course). To distract herself and add some spice to her life she takes on all sorts of hobbies and helps charity. She finds herself joining book clubs, going to church, taking painting classes and more. More than anything though, she wants to have a baby but Adam is adamant not to. THE INCIDENT WHAT HAPPENED?: Zelda was at home making some dinner when the incident happened. She thought there was just a power cut in the whole street. It was only after when she spoke to some friends at church that she learnt about the explosion. Just thinking about it makes her worry.
