More like a hostage exchange than a date was what Bee was thinking when she rolled up to Pete's pad in his (their) hot rod, wearing his jacket over a tight blouse and skirt that hugged her hips. The pair had been off again, which meant Bee had been trying to spend time making Pete jealous without cramping her style. It was a difficult task in this city, what with all those squares running to and fro. Peter being the coolest guy she knew, maybe it was time they got back together. She didn't need the Nuns getting out of hand on her.
She was at least mildly bothered by Peter being the 'leader'. Everyone knew she could out drive him. Clearly she should be the one leading the groups or at least be second in command. But no. She was just 'Peter's girlfriend' to the Soul Sisters. Well, at least when they were together.
The drive to Stargazer's Peak was long and more than a little tense. Curt, short statements to one another. Polite, enough, but not the lovey dovey stuff they'd do when they were together.
Bee couldn't even remember why they broke up this time. Maybe it was boredom. Maybe it was because she wanted his car. In the end she'd managed to treat Freddy and Vicki and herself to some delicious milkshakes, on him.
Stargazer's Peak was a peace offering. They used to come up here to neck for awhile and she hoped that it would make getting back together easier. She liked Peter a lot. He was cool and dreamy and she would never tell him that lest it go to his head. But he was just her speed.
Bee put the car into park; some other rockets next to them were steamed up and rocking already. The city below them was illuminating the dark night, but some stars were still visible. Bee pulled Peter's jacket tighter around her shoulders, staring through the windshield, her lips pursed, only the sound of jostling cars next to them and the radio playing quietly.
"So are we getting back together or not?" she asked, glancing back toward her ex-boyfriend. She wasn't into seducing boys back to her side of the court. But if Peter made this difficult, then she'd have to knock his socks off like she did when they were together.
It only made sense for them to date again, right? Besides, maybe she could borrow the car without the threat of him stealing it back.

[Peter Turzynski So excited! Sorry for the wait!]
