LAS VEGAS CENSUS PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM AND RETURN BY MAIL. SCOTT ANDREW MCCALL BASIC INFORMATION
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION HAIR COLOR AND STYLE: Scott’s hair is a brownish color, graying a little here and there. He generally keeps it slicked back and parted neatly for the cameras. At home, Scott isn’t too particular about how his hair looks. EYE COLOR: Bright blue BODY BUILD: Despite some easy living, Scott keeps well toned body underneath his tuxedo. He enjoys keeping in shape and making sure he looks good on film. He can be found running through the local park, flashing that charming grin of his at every passersby. GET UP: After having been groomed for into the man he is for many, many years, he’s rarely found in anything “casual”, having the fear of God put into him regarding the paparazzi. Vegas always seems ready to catch him with his pants down. He prepares with a nice suit and a clean, put together look. PERSONALITY DISPOSITION: Scott isn’t the sharpest tool in the box. He’s been controlled and manipulated for most of his life. First by his parents, then by his father-in-law, and then by his dear wife, Elle. His staff has recently taken up the reigns of telling him how to run the city, though there’s always room for more corrupt officials or mafia members to pull his strings. Scott has been especially vulnerable since Elle’s death only a few months ago.He runs for the Republican Party, family values, and keeping the streets of Las Vegas clean. Or so he’s told. He genuinely is a nice guy, perhaps not well suited to the position. He has a big heart and cares about Las Vegas. However, he loves the fame and power being mayor of this fair city gives him. He likes have people respect him. Scott also genuinely loved his wife, Elle, despite her indifference toward him. Even if he couldn’t tell you the first thing about the economy or deeply discuss politics, he can still make her laugh with his laid back, sweet-nature. Unfortunately, recent tragedy has entered Scott’s life. Elle’s death a few months ago and the lack of reconciliation between them left him unable to start the healing process. He keeps going, if only for his son and for the city Elle had seemingly loved. But Scott’s sunny optimism has noticeably dimmed as he struggles to come to terms with her death. He was the youngest son, even to his twin brother, Michael. Throughout his childhood, Scott was largely left to his own devices. His older brothers generally showed more aptitude for books and his parents ideas about a young man’s education. His father was a major competitor in the steel industry, giving the family more wealth than any of them could possibly use in a lifetime. And, for the most part, they were a happy family. When Scott and Michael were ten, he was shipped to one of the finest boarding schools the country could offer. This was around the age Scott tried to gain attention from his family. He was always drowning in a sea of brothers, he wasn’t as smart as them and he often felt as though his parents never paid him much attention. He wasn’t being reared to be a scientist, a lawyer, doctor, or take over the family business. The McCall’s simply didn’t have the time for so many sons. Instead, Scott found the attention he craved on the stage. He enjoyed the large audiences and, even though his parents were busy, he often pretended that they attended his plays. Despite his poor grades and lack of interest in his education, his parents pulled strings to get him admitted to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in 1926. Still lacking any sort of direction, Scott immediately signed up for the theater program, only being allowed to stay at the university because of his parent’s generous donations. It was 1927 when he met Elle. She was a politics major, the daughter of state senator, and the most beautiful and brilliant woman that had ever given him the time of day. In Elle, he found someone who paid him the attention he wanted and appreciated the simplicity he offered. In Scott, Senator McPherson found the pliable son he had always wanted to launch into a political career. Although he loved his major in theater, something he could convince Elle to spend nights at his apartment to ‘rehearse’, in order to please her father, he changed his educational focus to politics. Scott continued to minor in theater, the giving him an ease and charisma on the stage. During the summers, Senator McPherson pulled strings to give him golden opportunities interning at the White House and in the House of Representatives. After college, Elle and Scott quickly married. They spent time simply traveling together. When they returned, Scott worked as a clerk for Elle’s father, allowing him to make quite a few political connections in the process. McPherson guided Scott, whispering in his ear all along the way. In spite of his family and the Senator’s wishes, Scott signed up for the US army in 1941, serving two tours of duty, serving mostly off the battlefield in Britain as support after the Blitz. Somehow he found himself involved in the Invasion of Normandy. Thereafter, he participated in many battles and found some aptitude for the battlefield. All the while he remained loyal to his wife. They were reunited in 1945. He was hailed as a war hero, something his father-in-law was anxious to use to their political advantage. Scott continued to build a reputation in Washington for a few more years before his father-in-law decided it was time to get Scott more directly in power. In 1949, Elle and Scott were moved to Las Vegas on the Senator’s wish. He got Scott a job working closely with the mayor, acting as an adviser to Mayor Cragin and later Mayor Baker. Elle gave birth to Albert in 1952. Despite constantly claiming she didn’t want children and that their son was simply for more votes, Scott could see that Albert softened his wife’s edges. In the 1953 mayoral election, C.D. Baker mysteriously decided to step down (likely due to a pay-off from Senator McPherson) publicly supporting Scott in the process. Scott McCall was a shoe-in and he won the election. Senator McPherson passed away in 1954, leaving Elle in charge of Scott McCall’s strings. For awhile, everything was going swimmingly for the McCalls. They were (moderately) happy, though Elle and Scott were slowly becoming estranged, but they worked well together for the city. But several months ago, while Scott and Elle were vacationing in Maine, Elle drowned tragically in a boating accident as Scott was buying his son ice cream. She had fallen overboard and was pulled down in a riptide. It was sudden and unexpected and Scott felt powerless. Scott remained in Hartford with his parents for a few months, needing time to mourn and for help with Albert, while the deputy mayor and Brad kept Las Vegas running. At his aide’s urging, Scott returned to Las Vegas with his son, trying to pick up the pieces. THE INCIDENT WHAT HAPPENED?: At first Scott, didn’t think much of his abduction. He’s been chalking it up to his grief, but he’s only half convinced that’s what it was. His staff covered up the mayor’s abduction, trying to keep it from the press and not allowing Scott to acknowledge, publicly, what he thinks happened the night before he woke up in the outskirts of the city.
